Yes, every day we are looking how “Microsoft loves Linux” looks like the years will soon have an end, first with the virtualization of Ubuntu in Azure, then with Ubuntu dash in Windows 10,know we are looking toward something we could barely dream of, install SQL Server on Linux.
That’s right, Microsoft has announce in its recent yearly event BUILD 2016 which gave us really good news, one of them is the preview of SQL Server on Linux, you can sing up for testing it in Microsoft Official Site.
It’s based on SQL and aims to take some steps towards making Microsoft products and application run anywhere, recently it has seen that Linux has take some territory.

Questions would be if there’s going to exist an Express Edition or only paid versions, and if this movements would really help the open source community, if Microsoft recovers all the territory that has lost, may be we would live in a world with more restrictions.
